About Zoe

Zoe writes about pictures. Her work is the text that helps people find and choose an image — image descriptions and captions, collection and category copy, page titles and image metadata — mostly for sites built around pictures, such as wallpaper collections, profile pictures, display pictures and themed galleries.

Before moving into image-led sites, she wrote short-form digital content for online publishers. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Digital Media and Visual Communication, which covered digital publishing, creative media, communication and audience behaviour.

On Aesthetic Picsly she curates every mood — coquette, dark, anime, soft girl, Y2K and vintage — choosing pictures that hold up as a small circular profile picture or a tall phone wallpaper, and sorting them so a whole feed can match.

How she works

Zoe starts with visual keyword and search-intent research — the words people actually type when they look for a picture — and builds each collection around that intent. She then writes the page copy, titles, descriptions and category structure, and goes back to refresh older collections so they stay useful.
